Since 2005, Marco Barbon has been using photography and video to explore the temporality of images, as well as the border zone between reality and dream, document and fiction, which the photographic image is particularly well suited to render. In his most recent works
such as El Bahr (2011 - 2014) and The Interzone (2013 - 2017), the Italian artist, artist, who has lived in France for the past twenty years, has been interested in the question of the in-between and what, in images, is silent.
His new project, presented at the preview, entitled The test of the landscape, is a continuation of this visual research into the the fragment, the invisible and the off-screen. As the title states, these concepts will be put to the test in the landscape and the ways in which it is "constructed". landscape and the modalities of its "construction".
After studying Philosophy and completing a doctoral thesis in Aesthetics of Photography at the EHESS in Paris, Marco Barbon began a personal artistic research that questions, from different angles dimensions of the photographic medium and its relationship to the moving image. Author of the books Asmara Dream (Filigranes,2009), Cronotopie (Trans Photographic Press, 2010), Casablanca (Filigranes, 2011), Les pas perdus (Poursuite, 2014), Asmara (Be-Pôles, 2014), El Bahr (Filigranes, 2016) and The Interzone (Maison CF, 2017), his work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in France and abroad France and abroad and are part of several private collections.
Galerie Clémentine de la Féronnière
Established in Paris on the Ile-Saint-Louis in May 2011, the Clémentine de la Féronnière presents exhibitions of mostly contemporary photography. The photographers represented are each characterized by a unique each with a unique style, but can be situated in different fields: documentary, historical or plastic photography. Backed by to a publishing house, the gallery has developed with the desire to work closely to work closely with its artists, both in terms of form and content, and by supporting their work over time.
